Dean Johnson Title

DESIGN/BUILD SPECIALIST, CAPS


Dean Johnson is the Design/Build Specialist at Green Construction Services. His primary responsibility is to assist disabled veterans to live more comfortably by remodeling their homes to make them more accessible. The scope of his work includes planning, designing, and implementing construction to that end.

Although much of his work is with our veterans, Dean is expert at all accessible design. He is a Certified Aging in Place Specialist (CAPS) and has received the prestigious NAHB/AARP National Design Award for Accessible Design. 

His projects have not only won national design awards, but they have also been published. The Accessible Design Award project was featured in Remodeling and, most recently, Dean’s work was published in Naomi Neville and Ashley Rooney’s book,  Gracious Living:  Home Design for the Future.

Highly experienced in AutoCAD, Dean works as an instructor at Lakeland Christian School.  He has also excelled in his role as a youth soccer coach, earning a spot in the FACA (Florida Athletic Coaches Association) Soccer Hall of Fame in 2005. He is a State Staff Coach for the FYSA (Florida Youth Soccer Association), also working as a coach in ODP (Olympic Development Program).

Dean and his wife, Jill, live in Lakeland, where they serve at Heritage Baptist Church, where Dean is also a board member. They have two children and two grandchildren.
