From the moment I met with Dean, I knew you were not like any other construction company. Dean was so kind and informative during our first meeting. He had photos of previous projects which really helped me to visualize his ideas on making improvements to our home. You could tell by the way he spoke of Green Construction that he truly had pride in the company and was not just giving me a sales pitch. We were so touched when we received a card for Veteran’s Day thanking my dad for his service.
Yes, this company is truly a cut above the rest.
Dean was so accommodating with my schedule. Caring for my dad full time left me few opportunities to leave the house-Alan, the owner, came by with the permits for me to sign since I wasn’t able to meet him at the court house. Talk about going the extra mile! Right before construction started, I was able to meet with Nate, the project manager, to go over the full scope of the project. Another all-star on the Green construction team. He was very knowledgeable and answered all of my questions without making me feel dumb or talking down to me (which happened multiple times with other companies). This was not only refreshing but helped to seal in my trust with the company. During demolition, the workers were not only fast but clean. Yes, clean! I was so impressed with the fact they swept up at the end of each day before they left. They would even sweep up mid-day sometimes which made me feel like they really cared. They treated my house as if it were their own.
One less thing I had to worry about. Everyone working was so kind and helpful. We were still living in the house during construction which I know was a different experience for them but you wouldn’t have known it by how helpful and accommodating everyone was. They took the time to do things right and ask questions to be sure things were done the way I wanted. I appreciated Nate keeping me in the loop as far as the project schedule and day to day events. If there were any hiccups, he handled them without hesitation and never once made me feel like an inconvenience. Throughout the project, he made me feel like my happiness was the most important and he made sure I got the things I wanted/needed. I trusted him every step of the way.
Brian was awesome. I don’t know what his actual job title is but he seems to do everything and do it well! He went out of his way on more than one occasion to complete a task and make sure it was done the way I wanted. Everyone that came was truly amazing, not just the people with Green but also the sub-contractors. I kept telling everyone how great the people were who came to our home. I am so impressed by the way Green Construction does business because it doesn’t feel like business at all, it feels like working with friends. It sounds cheesy but it’s true.
I would recommend Green Construction to anyone not just on the quality of work but for the overall experience. We love the modifications made to our home and are grateful to have had the opportunity to work with such a phenomenal company who truly cares.
With Deepest Appreciation,
Anni & John A.
It is impossible to find the words to say the thank you that I owe to you and Green-Construction. When I look back and see how we even got started to working together, I know it was God ordained. I had been a professional Master Barber and also took time to play golf from time to time. And was also a Model Railroader (HO). In July of 2004, all of this changed due to Multiple Myeloma Cancer brought on by my contact with Agent Orange during my 1966-67 tour of duty in Viet Nam. Because the tumors were pressing on my spine, I was treated in the SCI unit of James Haley Hospital and upon my Cancer remission, I remained a paraplegic. This brought on a lot of necessary changes to ensure that my quality of life remained. I certainly needed to make adjustments to my house. As time went on my adaptive housing came to life and you made that happen. I could not be more pleased with the job you did and the professionalism of all the sub-contracted personnel. Your effort and attention to detail made that project a 100% success.
After being severely injured in Iraq and losing a leg, the largest obstacle I faced was being able to live comfortably and have an autonomous quality of life. The contractors at Green Construction made that a reality for me. They toiled over the accessibility issues I faced in my home and worked diligently to design the perfect answer for each of my individual needs. I can cook, eat, dress and most importantly, shower and use the bathroom by myself – with absolute confidence. Not only were my accessibility needs answered, they were answered beautifully – well beyond any expectations I could have ever imagined. My bathroom looks like something you would see in a spa and functions like a hospital room. You would never know it was designed for a “handicapped person”. My wife was thrilled that she was able to keep her warm and inviting home while still having all my accessibility issues take care of. We love our home – so do the kids! I would HIGHLY recommend the Green Construction team to ANY individual, handicapped or otherwise for any and all construction needs.

I would like to thank you and Green Construction for the outstanding job you did on my Veterans
Adaptive Housing construction. Your design and many suggestions achieved a living environment that now allows me to be safe and independent. I especially love the many features you designed in my bathroom. It may sound strange to say I love my bathroom, but I truly do. You and all of Green Construction were extremely professional, knowledgeable of VA requirements and timely. Our project manager Nate Purcell and his staff were the best. He always kept us informed of the status of the construction work and schedule. We experienced no surprises or delays. I would highly recommend Green Construction to other veterans as well as non veteran. You are the best.

The letter is to recommend your services to anyone that wants the very best work for their Special Adapted Grant from the VA. The system is set up for the veteran to do three bids and then decide on who they would like to perform the work. This we did and Green was the last people we saw. The others were satisfactory but Green Construction came up with better ideas on making our home comfortable for my husband who is paralyzed and, therefore, uses a wheelchair any time he is up. No one had come up with a plan that would enable my husband to enter the other two bedrooms in our home but they did. The door was easily widened in the one room by using a swing hinge and, for the other room, they simply drywalled in the existing space and put in another door in a position that made it accessible. For our room it involved widening a pocket door. They completed the entire job from the other side with a plastic wall up to keep the dust away from my husband entirely due to the fact that he is on a vent and the dust could have gotten into his lungs. We have a French door in our bedroom and they installed a retractable screen so that my husband could have the fresh air and also be able to use the platform they put in with a ramp going both ways from the room. Instead of only putting in something that would sound when doors or windows were opened to make us aware that someone had entered the home, they put in a full alarm system for very little more money. I cannot say enough good things about the Project Manager and each crew that they brought into our home. They were considerate and did everything they could to make the construction as easy for us as possible. We were consulted with everything they did. It mattered a great deal to us that they were Christian young men and it showed in their attitudes. If you decide to use them, I’m sure you won’t be disappointed in any way.

Jules and I would like to thank you for your kindness and consideration from the conception of the idea through its completion. We commend you for your personal touch and professional expertise. The Green Construction family is now a part of our family. May God continue to bless all of you.

I would like to let you know how much I appreciate the job that was done in my house to make it wheelchair accessible and make it easier for me to get around. Green Construction was very concerned about my welfare during the work and all employees were very careful not to interfere with my lifestyle. I would gladly recommend this company for any reconstruction job.
